Air Duct & Dryer Vent Cleaning in Hunters Creek, FL
Duct and dryer vent cleaning in Hunters Creek, about 6 miles from Kissimmee.
Just Over the Orange County Line
Hunters Creek is about 6 miles northwest of our office, a planned community in southwest Orange County. John Young Parkway runs north to south through its commercial center, and Town Center Boulevard is the main east-west road. Osceola Parkway and Florida's Turnpike are close, which makes it an easy trip for us.
Planned Villages, Similar Systems
Hunters Creek is organized into separate neighborhoods, many of them gated, with single-family homes, townhomes and some condos. Most homes went up in the late 20th century and the years after, so many are now old enough to be on their second or third AC unit while still using much of the original ductwork.
That is a common situation we see here. A homeowner replaces the outdoor unit and air handler, and the new equipment works well, but the ducts behind it have years of dust. Cleaning the ducts can help remove that buildup. Your HVAC contractor handles the equipment; we handle the ducts and dryer vents.
Two-Story Homes and Long Dryer Runs
Plenty of houses in Hunters Creek are two-story, with the laundry room upstairs or in an interior hallway. In those layouts, the dryer vent may travel through the attic to the roof. Long, bending runs collect lint, and a blocked roof cap can trap heat and moisture.
Signs it's time to have the vent cleaned:
- Clothes take longer to dry than they used to.
- The dryer or the laundry room gets unusually hot.
- You notice a burning smell when the dryer runs.
Our dryer vent cleaning is $99 for up to 10 feet and $15 for each additional foot. For the ducts, basic air duct cleaning is $199 for up to 10 vents, with $29 per extra vent. Larger Hunters Creek homes with many registers may be better served by deep duct cleaning at $59.99 per vent.
